Just heard on NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me.
One of the panelists said he packed an used tube of toothpase, with just a little bit left, so he could carry it on an airplane.
The security checkpoint guy actually unrolls the tube, reads the volume label and proceeds to tell him the tube would not be allowed in the airplane, because it says 5 ounces.
C'mon! Is there no common sense left?
The whole combining liquid into explosives plot was a total sham in any case.
